Water lubricates joints and eyes, also aids digestion, and flushes out waste and toxins, and thus keeps skin healthy.

Make sure you always drink water throughout the day and around meals.

Some don’t realize how much water is lost daily and end up chronically dehydrated.

Diabetics, burn victims and also athletes are at dehydration higher risk than average person.

Here’s a list of warning to pay attention to:

  1. Heart Palpitations

If normal water content of body is reduced, it upsets balance of minerals (salts and sugar) and that affects the way it functions.

Heart palpitations occur typically when potassium and sugar levels are low in the blood. It causes premature contractions of heart’s upper chambers (atria) or lower chambers (ventricules).

Also low level of magnesium (through excessive sweating or diarrhea) may lead to abnormal heart beat.

If the fluid in this sack is reduced, your brain can begin to push against your skull. This is one of the most common causes of headaches.

Dehydration also decreases blood supply to the brain, that means less of  oxygen and glucose, which also triggers headache.

Water helps break down the food so body better absorbs nutrients. It boosts absorption of water-soluble vitamins, as vitamin C.

Normally, intestines only soaks up enough water in order to make stool the right consistency. When you’re dehydrated, it soaks up more water in preventing fluid loss, and it leaves stool hard, difficult to push through digestive tract.

  1. Fatigue and Lethargy

Fluid loss causes drop of blood volume and blood pressure rises. Heart has to expand more energy in order to feed brain, skin, muscles with oxygen and all nutrients. Then it comes to feeling tired and sleepy.

Not drinking enough water, urine changes color light clear yellow to dark yellow and means that kidneys don’t have enough water to expel toxins out the body.

Chronical dehydration leaves kidneys overloaded with toxins, and also causing kidney stones.

Skin is made of 30% water which contributes to plumpness, elasticity, and also resiliency.

Showering habits, dry air and heat and skin infection also can lead to high rates of water evaporation thus leaving skin dry and itchy.
